Assalamu Alaikum, readers of The Auto Pulse! The pickup truck market in Pakistan is heating up, and one name is on everyone's lips: JAC T9 Hunter.
The hype for this truck is real. In fact, the demand is so high that the plant has temporarily paused bookings! But the big question remains: Can the JAC T9 Hunter really compete with the Toyota Hilux Revo?
In this video, we take a detailed walkaround of the T9 Hunter, checking out its aggressive exterior, premium interior features (like the cool box!), and listening to that 2.0L Diesel engine roar. Watch the full review below.
1. Aggressive Exterior Design
The first thing you notice is the massive front grille with the bold red JAC logo. It gives the truck a commanding presence.
- Split Light Setup: The lighting is very modern. You have slim DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) at the top, which also act as indicators. The main headlights are in the middle, and fog lamps are at the bottom.
- Rear Look: The tail lights have a unique vertical design that sets it apart from other trucks on the road.
- Accents: Chrome door handles and side mirrors add a touch of luxury to the rugged 4x4 look.
2. Interior & Premium Features
Stepping inside, the JAC T9 feels more like a luxury SUV than a work truck. The build quality is solid, with a flat-style dashboard that matches the steering wheel design perfectly.
- Upholstery: High-quality leather seats with sporty red stitching.
- Cool Box: Just like a Land Cruiser, the center armrest console features a Cool Box to keep your drinks cold.
- Sunroof: A large electric sunroof adds an airy feel to the cabin.
- Rear Comfort: Rear passengers get their own AC vents and charging ports.
3. Technology & 360 Camera
The T9 is packed with tech. The vertical infotainment screen is responsive and controls most vehicle settings.
360-Degree Camera: Parking a big truck can be tough, but the T9 comes with a high-resolution 360-degree camera system that makes maneuvering easy. The digital instrument cluster (MID) is also placed perfectly in the center for clear visibility.
4. Engine Sound & Performance
Under the hood, the JAC T9 Hunter is powered by a 2.0L Turbo Diesel Engine. In the video, we start it up to hear the sound.
The engine bay is well-insulated with heat shields on the turbo. The sound is robust but refined, promising good power delivery for both city driving and off-road adventures.
